A luminous passage held between weight and release.
Continuity Field I is organised around a narrow opening of light that bends through two larger planes. A pale field on the left and a darker mass on the right remain in close relation, while a bright central seam carries the work’s full structural charge. Fine linear traces sit around the image like a measured frame, but they do not close it down.
The work unfolds slowly. What first appears as a simple division becomes a more delicate transfer of pressure, with the central form tightening, flexing and opening as it descends. Light is not used here as effect. It acts as a structural force, guiding the eye through a field shaped by restraint, contact and release.
The image resolves without becoming static. It holds a sense of continuity under pressure, as though the whole work depends on a single luminous path remaining open.
