A field redistributed across three related states.

Settled Field Triptych II develops the copper branch of the series through three compositions built from the same chromatic system but different distributions of weight, density and enclosure.

The left panel compresses the field through a narrow sequence of copper, burgundy and blue-black structures. Large planes overlap closely, creating a dense condition in which the available space appears reduced.

The centre panel gathers that pressure into a deeper internal structure. Copper becomes more translucent, darker regions thicken and the geometry closes around several smaller intervals, producing the most concentrated state of the triptych.

The right panel redistributes the system. Copper and burgundy rise through the composition while darker teal regions separate into distinct masses. The field opens again without returning to the condition established by the first panel.

Across the three works, transparency records changes in density rather than simply revealing what lies beneath. Overlap produces new colour states, while repeated vertical structures alter position, scale and proportion from one panel to the next.

The triptych does not describe a linear progression. Each panel represents a different way in which the same set of forces can settle.

Seen together, they form one extended field in which stability emerges through redistribution rather than symmetry.
