Settled Field III brings large ochre, cyan, burgundy and deep teal regions into a restrained structural balance. Each carries a different visual force, yet none resolves into a fixed centre.

The work turns on the junction where the major fields meet. Boundaries shift direction, smaller intervals absorb pressure and colour changes through overlap, allowing the structure to hold without becoming symmetrical.

The larger planes remain distinct, but their position depends on the surrounding field. What appears stable is the result of continued accommodation between unequal regions.

The work becomes complete when those differences can remain present without forcing further displacement.
