Settled Field V brings broad cyan and deep teal regions into relation through a sequence of overlapping vertical and horizontal planes. Magenta appears only at points of compression, marking places where the larger structures meet and adjust.

The darker central field carries substantial weight, but never becomes the sole centre of the work. Pale regions continue around and beyond it, while smaller interruptions redistribute attention across the composition.

Boundaries remain partially permeable. Colour passes through neighbouring planes, density changes at their intersections, and individual regions remain dependent on the geometry surrounding them.

The work becomes complete when these unequal pressures can remain present without forcing the field into further movement.
