A field held between compression and release.

Structural Tension III brings broad black, grey and pale regions into a sequence of curved constraints. Each field changes width and direction as it encounters the others, producing several points where space narrows without fully closing.

A dark region carries pressure through the composition while lighter fields open around it. Near the centre, a small curved interval approaches closure before turning away, concentrating the strain into a precise local event.

A second narrowing appears toward the upper right, preventing the work from resolving around a single point. The tension remains distributed across the field, held through changes in curvature, proportion and available space.

The work becomes complete when these opposing pressures remain active without forcing the field either into collapse or release.
